Great review! I do love both MdC and Valobra performance. Really dig the MdC scent and the Valobra is much better when the lid is left off for a day or two and the scent mellows.
Yes, you are absolutely spot-on regarding the benefit of leaving the Valobra soap container open so the strong scent has an opportunity to dissipate. With regular use, I have grown accustomed to the fougére scent, but in the future, I'll pick up a different variety of the Valobra.
