Today’s razor the venerable Gillette Super Speed (40s style) but a 1953 to be exact. Love this razor but I have a British Aristocrat Junior from the same era that quite easily trumps this one. Loaded up with a Polsilver IR.

New Year and a whole new soap set. Sni Mato is quite a unique scent and though I like it quite a lot Mrs. S, can’t get around the “morning dew” component. In fact, she has replaced it with another rhyming three letter word. This is the first Declaration Grooming soap in the den and I have to say the Icarus base which is raved about by many is an exceptional soap. Bloomed it for a couple of minutes and the Yaqi SF whipped up just about the best lather I have had in a long, long time. Lovely stuff.

To work and through a lovely three pass BBS shave. Grabbed the matching CL post-shave toner and AS. Lovely scent and exceptionally nice on the face. All around this is a great combo. Think though I might pack it for the next time I hang with the wolves up North...enjoy the day!
