SOTD, Mar 7th 2020

Razor : Gillette Fatboy E3- MFG 1959 3rd Qtr- I find this Fatboy razor smoother than my Slim IMO!
Blade : Voshod (3)
Brush : Yaqi Tuxedo knot 24mm "Sagrada Familia"
Soap: Razorock XXX- great soap IMO.
Pre-shave : Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera Gel on beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse.
Post shave: Razorock XXX aftershave with witch Hazel + Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + Alum indicated minor irritation + no weepers = great shave!

Thank you Gary...1st time with this razor was an excellent shave. It seemed a bit more aggressive than my rfb, but I think that might be due to blade choice.

 

they appear to be more aggressive to me as well,i think the weight contributes a bit..

Is the shave with this razor pretty similar to your 1935 Brit Belmont New De Luxe?

 

very much so..there is little difference in the new deluxes..there is an early brit new deluxe with new improved style rounded teeth,but they are very rare.there is also a 15mm /17 mm head design. the 15 mm used mostly in tuckaway or red black special sets..
