Several months ago I didn't own a Tech or a New but since the purchase of several, I've become used to using these types of razors. I like you, my mainstays were 40's Super Speeds and Aristocrat/Diplomat shaves and I was quite satisfied. But like anything else that I do, I'm generally looking forward to something or reading about something I don't have and there you go. Shaving has become my hobby.

 

Good points sir. I was on the Tech binge 18 months ago, & the NEW acquisition binge a year ago. It is enjoyable reading and searching for what we don’t have. It’s a nice hobby to have.

the pre war cap would be similar to an early rfb non creased cap.,thus allowing more blade exposure..maybe..will have to check it out.i have early and late rfbs.the late rfb has the creased brit fbat bottom tech cap..

Thanks Gary. I know it gets boring for some to use the same razor day after day. But it gives a great shave, so my thought is I want to keep using it & enjoy it for more than one day.

 

all is good sir..i occasionally use a razor 2-3 times in a row..i have to rotate through my 60 plus gillettes ..

Happy Friday all! Yes these are trying times for all of us so please stay safe and sound! Today’s razor the ubiquitous Gillette New SC refinished by Chris Spencer at BackRoadsGold in Rhodium. Loaded up with a Feather.

In keeping with the run of CBL soaps I decided to reach for Carnation today. What a great scent! Just perfect for a rainy, early spring day. The flowers will bloom again!

Lovely two pass shave and smooth as can be. What a great start to the weekend. Again, stay safe and check in on your families and neighbours.
