it should.i ran an 10/32 unf tap in mine as some cap threads are longer than others.test carefully..

no problem.the handle threads can be tight as well as i believe they they are cut metric.i wasn't worried as i bought the handle only for my new deluxe and bought the tap and die specifically for this purpose.would hate your karve handle to be wobbly on the karve head if you do this.

 

That's exactly why I asked. Sounds like buying a spare Karve handle is the way to go. I have pretty complete set of SAE taps.
