Y’all have all these cool set ups for taking pics and I’m lucky if my wet finger takes the picture!
Love this thread! It has me thinking about what I’ll shave with tomorrow. That is a characteristic of a good thread.

awesome set up sir.. love the razor stand. i have yet to try the platinum..heard its nice..

 

The Platinum is very nice, both in lather and scent. It really competes with Royal Forest and No. 50, which all 3 are more like cologne scents. Mr. Taylor’s and St. James are my other 2 favorites in the ToOBS line, and they have a more traditional scent profile.

that would be awesome to use.. i love old wooden cabinets and the like to reuse..may try the royal forest and others . reorder time soon..thank you..

Your shots are always so cool. I love the model cars and the wooden chests. The whole thing is just a feast for the eyes. Everything is like a museum mosaic.

That is a really cool set up. I like it a lot.

I just hope when I am finally where I need to be I can create a set up as cool as you guys, all you guys. Not one of you has a bad set up. I love looking at all of the photos here. Except for you @ordinaryshaver. Your set up is just so ordinary. (Just kidding, just picking on you due to your Ordinary Shaver routine. )

 

Another maiden voyage this time with an Otto Roth New. First shave with the Bic blade. It feels a lot like a new long comb very efficient but it bit me good unlike a New long comb. Could be technique and amount of passes since I've switched things up since I've last used a New long comb. I'll know for sure when I use my New long comb next after one more shave with this using a Ladas blade. If the shave was good the New DeLuxe was better when both are used with a Bic blade.

 

That's one of my favorite handles. From some reading, there is the suggestion that the OR Long Comb is some of the over-run or those that didn't quite make the Gillette QC standards. In the end, it's a fair mount of speculation without solid documentation.
