yes sir it is..waiting for whiskers..it is hard to choose when one has a fine selection.the 30s to the 50s had the most cool choices..at least for those with visual preferences.after those years they were just safety razors..

1917 Gillette Aristocrat, Bic Chrome Platinum, shave 1


Been awhile since I used this razor and first time since it was repaired by @twhite . I've had old types that are super vicious and others that are fairly mild. This one is on the mild side. The way the shoulders are designed the blade can load uneven and with more exposure than the other. This shave the razor was lined up evenly on both sides. I'll try it with the more exposure on one side of the blade next before making any final proclamations on the razor. Overall a slightly less than BBS finish was achieved.

just arrived.. this is a p-2 1970 u.s tech.one of the last ones made in the u.s.most i could find in these last years are travel sets with the stubby ball end handle.found this one with it's original aluminum spiral ball end handle.i believe the last year was 1972?.they were continued to be made in england until the early eighties, with this handle in the late 70s.
