yes sir,at least to my knowledge.i have used the prewar tech caps on my late sc and lc razors with no rough shave effects.someone posted here in the past that some tech caps can create rough shaves..i personally haven't tried a post war tech cap on the new baseplates..

Thanks Gary. I lucked out on this one, which arrived yesterday. But thanks to you, I realize that this one also has a NEW lc cap.

 

folks say that the new sc is milder when using the new lc cap.the early new sc configuration is supposed to be more efficient.i get great bbs shaves from both versions.there is also a blade chatter issue reported from the new lc. the blade clamping design of the new sc is superior in this matter..just what i have read on other forums..

 

Thank you Gary, and the 'fat tech' handle is my favorite. The thickness, the length and all feels good in the hand, kind of like the Aristo, Diplo, President, FatBoy handle. Thick but not too thick, and long enough..

 

awesome Mac..the only version of the fat handle i like more is the french one which has a hole at the bottom and is one piece,made from thick brass stock.a little heavier and has better balance.but that is a minor thing..
