    thank you Jim,yes somewhat.they are hard to find,i have the #47 case with..they ceased production after "39 or so when the war was declared.post war tto s were safety bar aristocrat jr.the popular is basically an aristocrat jr by style design though never advertised as one..the 1939 model had the barber pole knurling while the 1937/8 models were plain knurling,maybe other differences also..

    The barber pole knurling is a real plus. Very classy.

    I'll send you a dollop .. you ought to get it about next spring. Oh and by the way, I ordered some Japanese package print Feather blades and the USPS sorting machine ate 40 of them and damaged the other 10. Oh My! It only took a month for them to send me the damaged package..

    I would think so but USPS isn't working like it used to. Of all the blades I've ordered and from all over the world, this is the first time something has been lost and damaged beyond repair. I've had damaged packages lots of times but usually the packing was good enough to protect the item. Sheet Happens..
