Thanks Gary. It's a 1956 model. One of my favorite razors to use. Brush is a custom order from Grizzly Bay.

This is a bit smaller thread, so it's a bit easier to see the information as opposed to the other threads that have tons of posts.

    70's Sunday Shave

    Wild West Brushworks "Odin"
    Barrister and Mann Jacinthe Soap
    1970 P4 Gillette Knack Razor
1972 S2 Gillette "The Spoiler" Blade
    Barrister and Mann Jacinthe Aftershave
    Nivea Cooling Post Shave Balm

Close comfortable shave today with the Gillette Knack. First time using a Spoiler blade and wasn't sure what to expect. Good performance, although I felt a bit of tugging along the neck hairs. Still irritation free though.

The B+M Jacinthe is a great product. The soap lathered quickly with the WWB Odin brush and provided a slick and cushioned shave. Great post shave feel! The Jacinthe AS did its job and the scent reminds me of a walk through a crisp, damp garden with evergreens off in the distance.

Today's soap was my Biotique Palmira. It produces a remarkably slick lather, and combined with my rather late model Aluminium English tech, I enjoyed a very mild shave. I was in a trip, and got stuck using a certain pen company 's disposable for a few days, and my skin is a tad on the tender side, so slick and mild has been my go to choice the last couple of mornings. I am glad I got the Lucky Tiger memo. IMG_20181231_045915_kindlephoto-129198617.jpg

I have seen a few videos of the knack and always wondered how it shaved.
How does the Lucky Tiger work? On par with others, better, worse?
Also, what year is that Tech? I have a mid 70s model that looks Exactly like that one.

The tech is stamped A1, so 1980. It weighs almost nothing, and is very loud, I can hear whiskers being cut very clearly. Although It can be my mildest razor, it requires a very light touch, or can become very harsh indeed.
I like Lucky Tiger as a balm, and is my go aftershave if my skin is feeling tender or I just make a hash job shaving. The scent is a tad heavy, and to my nose old fashioned: rather like citronella. Other than the fragrance, I would rate it about equal to Trumper's Face Food, but with a lighter skin feel.
