    very cool Chris.:cool:i see your gold popular has the 430.030 baseplate.mine has the 400621 baseplate like your aristocrat.again no real visual difference as far as i know:)

    right, that's one way to solve the problem: lovely mix and match by the way

    Aah the penny drops! my concern was water ingress into the handle and eventually degradation. Bit of epoxy to the rescue. Just another around the problem. Nice tip Gary.

    Yes holding the two side by side I can see no difference in the head/cap/OC or baseplate. Just the handles, the materials and the sets in general. I guess they felt satisfied with the design of the former and just modifying the latter. One would have to research the different meanings of the patent numbers, but that's in the too hard basket, and just digs the rabbit hole even deeper.
