The Arko Stick Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #18 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Single Ring Razor (1911) and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Pinaud Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Ah, yes that Karve handle is a massive improvement. The New bar handles definitely leave a lot to be desired. The fat Tech handle is much better. And that Karve handle is beautiful.

Yesterday's shave with my new-to-me 1956 Gillette Super Speed Flare Tip.
I never expected to be into vintage Gillettes but now have 7 of 'em. Great razors and hard to believe how well they hold up to decades of use or abuse.
This particular razor isn't my most pristine by a long shot but it wasn't expensive. And it shaved just fine.

Blade: Plus 7 AM Hi Platinum - DE Blade - DAY # TWO USEAGE.

Bowl: N/A

Soap/Cream: Cremo - Bourbon Vanilla Moisturizing Formula.

Brush/Instrument: Fingers/Omega Boar

Extra Stuff: Witch Hazel

Shave Rating: 9.9++

Comments: Shave experienced was no problems, almost ZERO Blade feel, went off today with zero problems, Blade is almost new, used this Blade before with good results, is very acceptable for cost of Blade, it is IMHO good bang for buck.


Shave today was Dam Fine Shave close to BBS rating after THREE PASSES 9.9++. Cremo - Refreshing Mint did its job sorting Beard, and provided a smooth shave surface. Results were almost Darn Fine Shave maybe a click or two below BBS. My results were because I payed a lot of attention to Technique, Technique, Technique, reaping rewards, of almost DFS for doing so. I do not & never will chase BBS but today's Shave was a close to a BBS Shave without saying so. ZERO equipment problems.
