I had my first shave with a New long comb. The blade feel was excellent. I really enjoy the sound it makes. I’m not sold on the handle so I might try the head on a longer, more substantial handle. In any event, I really enjoyed my first shave with it and look forward to more!

Definitely one of the best-executed handles of any razor. It's really a standout, especially for Gillette razors of the era.

My most recent vintage Gillette shave was with a 1940s Super Speed and Wizamet Super Iridium blade on its first use and my first time using both the razor and blade. The shave was very close but I had some irritation along the jawline. If I had to pass judgment I'd say that the blade is very sharp but not as smooth as others I have used recently. I'm wondering how a second shave will feel.
