@RyX, I feel ya man. My first brush was a crappy pure badger, then I got into boars. I like em, both Semogue and Omega, but I like Ford's and Chevy's now , not one or the other. I'm starting to get a feel for Badgers, and just used my Wildwest Brushworks brush with a Maggards 26mm two band fan. Not bad, just different. I don't have a T-400 though, I have enough brushes for now.
What an awesome lineup! 3 of the 4 represent my 3 sons alma maters. Any guesses? Well start lathering these bombshells this week. Thanks Steve Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Nice!! Great colors let us know how they do. I’m interested in finding out if these are the same type of boar knots as he used in the first gen.
Can I ask what size the rubber gasket is that sits at the base of the ferule? I think I could benefit from the little bit of extra height of the ferule so the knot can sit just that much lower in it and limiting the splay just a tad.
Hey @BigMark83, Sorry your post got lost in my shuffle else I'd have responded sooner. Yes to the Ford/Chevy comparison. Being spoiled by inexpensive but high quality boar knots versus low end low quality badgers has prejudiced me to lean one way. Since I'm not afraid to glue a knot into a handle I'll eventually get a better quality badger that just might change my attitude! Very colorful! Are those aluminum with a baked on coating? Nice looking boar knots. Very close to original Rubberset 400 style.
They are Cerakoted, the stuff they use to coat guns. Underneath the coating the handles are solid aluminium. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Last chance to buy a T-400. Dropping out of the brush business. Razors and specials only once the current stocks are gone.
