Just got word from my rep that the blades will be in New York, from Moscow, June 15.

If your name is on the list below and you haven't done so, and are in a position to do so, please pay for your blades. The more that pay now, the easier it'll be on me when I go to pay the $240.00/case shipped cost.

If my math is correct, final cost per card will be about $10.50 to $11.00 when averaging out $5.00 per card, $1.00 built-in TSD donation, $1.00 shipping from New York to me in Mississippi, $2.00 shipping from me to you* and PayPal fees I get charged for your payment.

PayPal fees range from 59 cents for 1 card, to $4.65 for 15 cards (someone paid for 15). So it looks like I'm going to eat the PayPal fees myself in the end which as of all the paids right now, total $36.50. I guesstimate in the end, I'm going to chew on about $60.00 to $65.00 in PayPal fees.

don't see why you should have to be out the pp fees- just average it over the number of buyers or number of cards and i don't think anyone would object to having to pay a few cents more.

I agree! Jody should not have to pay our Paypal fees out of his pocket. I think we all understood that the $10 was an estimated cost, not the final cost.

 

Yup... $10 was an estimate. We knew (or at least should have known) that shipping paypal costs were going to change the total. I fully expected to pitch in more once we knew what the true totals were.

 

Sorry about all of the confusion on the PayPal fees. Apparently my math is wrong and that's what I get for trying to do math after I'd been up all night. I was inadvertently figuring in that each card costs $10 when in fact they actually cost $5.00. I think it's all going to average out in the end and still come in under $9 or $10 a card. That's my main focus, even if I did have to eat the PayPal fees... everyone getting good blades at an excellent price. But as I had also committed in this group buy to refund any difference of what you paid versus total cost, I wasn't going to go back on my word on it.

I believe he said he miscalculated. I am not sure if that covers the fees or not. But if i read correctly (which hardly happens) i think it was just a miss calculation.
