Yeah. I have never used them, but I just saw 100 for $8.99. That may be closer to their worth.

You know those Dorco's are cheaper than what we pay in Canada at our Drug Stores and WalMart which have one choice for DE blades: Wilkinson Sword. At a nifty tune of $12-$16 for a 10 pack ;)

Wow that is expensive. Not too long ago I saw what appeared to be repackaged 10 packs of Personna blades in CVS for $7.99.

Ouch. Still cheaper than cartridges though, right?

Actually not if you compare them up here to the Fusion Proglide. I've used those things last year for a solid month per cartridge (Head & Face shaving daily) and they were still comfortable. Wilkinson Sword just don't work well for me 99% of the time.

I wouldn't shave with them if they paid me. A while back I bought a Weishi 9306 off of Ebay for $7.99 and it included the Dorco blades and they were the worst thing I ever used.

Dorcos are horrible as far as I'm concerned. I think everyone gives them away for a reason! Sorry if you love them, YMMV. Mine doesn't, not when it comes to Dorco. But you know what? Everytime I get free ones, I use one again, and remember why I hate them and then I move on.

I have some free Derby's sitting around and although I haven't heard much praise for them, I'll end up trying one regardless.

There's a lot of confusion out there.
I have a Nanjie, a Vincent and a "One Touch", all purchased from Chinese ebay sellers. All about 35 grams; all cheap 9306 clones.
Also have a 9306-E, also purchased from ebay. Matte silver finish. 61 grams. Much thicker metal. Obviously better mechanism.
Be careful what you get with these Dept Store shavers, and save your receipt! The cheaper/lighter razors don't hold blades as tightly and provide an inferior shave whether using Dorco's or any other blade. You can tell a cheap-o by the paper-thin butterfly doors.
The genuine 9306's on ebay are going for higher prices recently, and rightly so. One US seller says Weishi is filling orders for WalMart, and discontinuing all the cool finishes seen on the Weishi website.

    Technopundit, welcome to the forum!
I have both the Nanjie and the MT1. The MT1 is significantly heavier, with significantly thicker metal. There is no comparison between the two, at all.

    Thanks, Mike!
I am glad you apparently have a "Genuine" MT1.
I neglected to mention that there are apparently counterfeit Micro Touch One razors on Ebay. Unfortunately, I bought two of them. They were shipped in easily-opened clear plastic boxes, sealed with tape. Even had the Pawn Star guy's picture on the boxes. My theory is, the boxes were opened by the Chinese sellers and the shavers were swapped out, which would be easy to do.
Apparently, the chain store retail MT1 packaging referred to in shave den posts is much more securely sealed.
I hope nobody else gets cheated. I aimed to describe the inferior clones, so they can be recognized on inspection.
Since then, I have ordered yet another Weishi 9306 in matte gold tone finish -- from Amazon!
Great shaving technique, Mike! Reminds me of my own! ;)

I do not doubt this is happening. Besides obvious counterfeiting, I've read stories of Chinese sellers advertising one thing, but not really being concerned whether or not what they ship agrees with the advertised item. Caveat Emptor is definitely more important than ever, these days.
