That's what I love about New Orleans -- that laid back attitude towards life in general. Picture is of one of my favorite New Orleans bands. Not truly dixieland -- more trad jazz.
I like to hang out on a bench at the local University and absorb the exchange of ideas. And look at all the natural scenery.
Playing Atari, watching movies, and collecting vintage watches and hats. Oh, and that weird wetshaving stuff, too!
I'd love to get to the USA once to visit those iconic places. But I think it's an expensive vacation destination, so it will require some saving ... (and there are many more places I'd love to visit!)
My daughter loved The Netherlands both times she was there as well so it and specifically Amsterdam is on my list as well. Maybe another fun list would be places we'd like to visit that we have not been. I'll work on mine and get it started.
Thank you, Douglas! My Father-In-Law built it for me a few years ago. It's a one-off project. When I asked him if he'd be interested in making more to sell on the forums I'm on, he said, "I'm retired, and something like that would be too much like work!" Lol!
- Wood carving - Anything to do with guns - Harleys and classic cars - Guitar and drums - Charcoal drawings, ( it is messy but very enjoyable ) - Coming soon! Knife making! Just have to get the fun money saved up ; )
Well - you guys seem to like pictures, so here they come My Mancave ... maybe you can guess some of my hobbies That one vintage F-hole Guitar usually decorates our living room, but we needed the space for the christmas tree there. Self-made broadband speakers to the right. Dirt cheap but I love the sound. And a few of my collectibles: Love riding Motorbikes too, but I don't have one at the moment. I prefer "vintage" bikes as well - love the old Guzzis, though they are usually too small for me to ride them without contortions Just found a veeeeery old picture of my BMW R80 G/S, about 20 years ago, prepared for a 2 weeks ride through Germany, France and Switzerland Other than that my wife and I love to travel, especially Road Trips through the US (I guess we've visited 30 of the lower 48 states plus Hawai'i)
Well - musician - I wouldn't go that far I just plunk my guitars in the seclusion of my room ... But wife says my skills are improving
After having been through carpal tunnel syndrome surgery over the past 1-2 years, my guitar playing has been nonexistent. I need to make an effort to get back into playing as I DO miss it, but after having such a long layoff from playing, it's tough…. My neglected 'harem'—all custom-built lefties….
