Thanks Bill, coming from you that's quite a compliment. I think you would enjoy it as you do Brew up some hearty dishes. Only problem is the home made egg noodles don't do well in the freezer. I will be having this for lunch and dinner tomorrow. (not a big problem)
Cruddy cell phone picture, but the home made Chicago Style dogs with a side of garlic butter fries were excellent!
Now that is a yummy dinner. I had leftover homemade samosas as well as Chinese chicken and leek dumplings for lunch. Both were incredible and spicy.
Yalp... Chicago style is the way to go! Something about celery salt combined with the sport peppers... there is this chain in Houston called James Coney Island... they have great Chicago dogs along with Delaware punch... I think a road trip is in order!
Oh la, la--so much food! I had for supper tonight: 1) First, my shot of Chivas on the rocks, with a piece of shmaltz herring. 2) A nice bowl of chicken soup. 3) A salad with my own dressing--salt and olive oil, and 3 big pieces of garlic bread. 4) A big charcoal-broiled rib steak with 3 corns on the cob. 5) Strawberry ice cream for dessert. 6) A cup of Van Houtte coffee. Not bad, yes? It was delicious--I did the cooking!
Last night I had a hamburger... decided to just cook it in a fry pan (BBQ sacrilege I know) It came out juicer than a BBQ but not as much flavor. I didn't have any buns so i actually had it on toast. Had it with a hot chili sauce, pickles and ketchup. It was absolutely amazing. One of the best burgers i have ever had hands down. Weird on toast... but very very good.
YUMMMY. Haha well iced tea is refreshing. Crackers... and be debated. Tonight im having leftover beef strogenoff and green beans. With a pear.
Tonight is short ribs and yellow rice cooked with the broth. Mixed salad washed down with iced sweet tea, followed by peach cobbler with blue bell home made vanilla ice cream on top.happy108
Homemade sweet n' sour chicken with garlic rice. I think I put too much soy sauce into the sauce. It wasn't sweet enough.
Made my interpretation of some West Virginia Slaw Dogs tonight, used a recipe I sourced from here to make the chili sauce. Found a new source for the slaw tonight, was too busy to make my own, so at a local grocery store I eyed a tub of slaw from a company I had never seen before, it was called Grandpa's Coleslaw. This stuff is great! Creamy, slightly sweet, and it has some smoked bacon bits in it too. The smokey bacon flavor isn't overpowering, and added a nice depth of flavor to the Slaw Dogs. :drool
Dang, some of that stuff looks down right delish, sure beats the heck out of my cold cuts, and chips! I knew I should have cooked tonight!
Sounds yummy. Tonight I am making a Chicken and Potato (organic from my work) curry. Will have it over rice and probably have a nice cold beer.
