    The The ... loved them back in the 80ies. Uncertain smile, Heartland, Sweet Bird of Thruth - fantastic songs!


    I still think one of the best Rock singers was Layne Staley :cool: Drugs got him far too early





    And of course there's Chris Cornell:

    All those singers are great but Matt has a very unique tone to his voice. The first time I heard him was with the song, This is The Day. :)

    I agree! Layne Staley has been a favorite of mine since Alice in Chains came out and even on his other projects like Mad Season.

    I must agree. I've seen Journey a few times back in the late 70's early 80's and Steve Perry voice was heavenly.

    Layne Staley had such amazing range and control. My list was just pop singers. Grunge had a few stars.

    I seen them open for Ozzy Osbourne on the Masters tour in Nashville. Wasn't long after that they had the accident losing Cliff Burton.
