I just spent a few hours reloading my ipod touch. My 22 year old made me a folder of music about a year ago and I only tend to play the ipod on road trips, but the 22 year old's punk and ska tastes are a little harsh for this old man, so I dug out our cd collection and ripped quite a few albums onto my computer and then did the media monkey/itunes loading and now have enough music for several hundred road trips. From Michael Jackson to Strauss and Dwight Yoakam to Green Day and many things in between (including a little SRV, Jack White and Led Zeppelin) I think I have most of the bases covered.

Scorpions have always been a great band and wrongfully thrown in with the hair bands of the mid 80's. By the time the Scorpions broke out as a globally successful band in 82, they had already been recording for 10 years. I encourage everyone who's a fan of hard rock, heavy metal and amazing guitar playing to check out the Uli Jon Roth era Scorpions albums. Uli Jon Roth is the godfather of Neoclassical Rock/Metal !!!

Released on this day in 1976. Yesterday was the 6th year anniversary of the death of Ronnie James Dio. He left behind so much great music.
