KISS is probably the most polarizing band of all time. There are KISS fans that only listen to the 70's stuff, fans that only listen to the 80's and 90's stuff, fans that listen to everything and detractors that say everything KISS did is garbage. I have heard everything from "they can't play" to "they can't sing" to "they can't write" and so on. Whether you like KISS or not is your opinion and that's fine, but let's finally give some credit where it is due. A band isn't around for 40 plus years if they stink. I would love to hear these elitist journalists and magazine critics strap on a guitar or sit behind a drum-kit and play I've Had Enough (Into The Fire) and tell me KISS can't play !!!
Another of his songs that I love. Miss him more everyday when I listen to the current crop of C&W music. Though I think the Western has been pretty much removed.
Listening to 102.9 WMGK out of Philly in my booth. Doing a rock block. Bowie doing "Fame". Another guy I miss.
Had to switch to 98.1 WOGL out of Philly. Bad atmospherics I guess. 30 minutes commercial free inbound. First, the thirty minutes of commercials squeezed into ten. Starting with the Stones.
The 5th and final lineup of Motorhead was the best lineup of Motorhead. While previous lineups recorded the "classic" songs like Overkill, Ace Of Spades, Orgasmatron and Going To Brazil, it was this lineup that recorded the best and most consistent music of the bands brilliant career. Phil Campbell's growling Gibson Explorer was a much better fit than "Fast" Eddie Clark's mid rangy Fender Strat and Mikkey Dee's boundless talent behind the drum-kit brought Motorhead to a place Philthy "Animal" Taylor could never even dream of going. R.I.P. Lemmy and long live Mikkey Dee and Phil Campbell !!!
SiriusXM finally ended the run of the Billy Joel Channel. Back to listening to Classic Rewind. And of course whatever CD strikes my fancy.
