One of the things I love about music is discovering "genre defining albums". Albums that started a certain genre of music, sub-categories of heavy metal in my case. RUSH: 2112 defined Progressive Metal, Death: Human defines Progressive Death Metal, Venom: Welcome To Hell defined Black Metal, Helloween: Keeper Of The 7 Keys defined Power Metal, Metallica: Kill Em' All defined Thrash Metal.........and Carcass: Heartwork defined Melodic Death Metal !!!
I take guitar diversions when I need a change up. Yeah, let me cracking on that JpJ and Claypool. Cake.
Love it! It is one of my favourite kinds of music. Ever listened to the Jango Rheinhardt quartet? I loved the playfulness of the late Stephane Grapelli's music. He was an autodidact and couldn't read a single note if his life depended on it. But his music was great. Seemingly he never played a song twice in the same way. He always made a new twist to it.
In honor of @Douglas Carey receiving his CT. I saw these guys live in Atlanta. This is the instrumental version. I'm sure y'all know the lyrics.
I love me some Django Reinhardt. He was my introduction to this style of music. I will have to check out Grapelli. Thanks for the lead! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
