I take guitar diversions when I need a change up. Yeah, let me cracking on that JpJ and Claypool. Cake.
Love it! It is one of my favourite kinds of music. Ever listened to the Jango Rheinhardt quartet? I loved the playfulness of the late Stephane Grapelli's music. He was an autodidact and couldn't read a single note if his life depended on it. But his music was great. Seemingly he never played a song twice in the same way. He always made a new twist to it.
In honor of @Douglas Carey receiving his CT. I saw these guys live in Atlanta. This is the instrumental version. I'm sure y'all know the lyrics.
I love me some Django Reinhardt. He was my introduction to this style of music. I will have to check out Grapelli. Thanks for the lead! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Very good album. Swansong was mostly a let down. For me Necroticsm -- Descanting The Insalubrious was their masterpiece. Another great band from that timeframe that's not too well know is Coroner. They really changed from a thrash type band to a really intricate math metal/industrial type band. To me they really helped cause the musicianship quality to improve in the metal world. Similar to what Death did for death metal. Death really changed the death metal scene and opened the doors for all the crazy complicated bands like Meshuggah, Nile and Aborted.
