@AGHisBBS - he plays it as synth bass, but I think it's such a fun bass line that I plugged in an envelope filter and phaser and picked the notes on bass guitar. Don't do it, you might play it accidentally for an hour, improvising new bridges the whole. @Bookworm - this band appears to be paying homage to OKGo! in their cinematography and graphics. I find the lyric style similar too. You might like this band.
I enjoy listening to him and appreciate the fact that he says his thoughts have changed over the years which means he is not wedded to any one theory.I keep hinting to my wife that I would enjoy some of his books........she seems to tune me out at that point.
I've listened to about 12 hours of him on late night radio. He's a good interview and seems to be a serious researcher.
I think you're right. That's definitely in the style that OKGO's director uses. Sounds somewhat similar in the lyric style to me also. I wonder if any of their other work does the same. Can't say that it grabs me, but it's non-offensive. I wouldn't change the radio channel if it came on.
