I defer to the late Bradley Norwell. "And it goes... If i was Bob Marley, I'd sing "Could You be Loved." If I was Half-pint, I'd thank the Lord up above. If I was Mike Tyson, I would look for a fight, and, If I was a Boomtown Rat I would be stayin' Up All Night. If I was the king Ad-Rock i would get stupid dumb, and, If rhymes were valiums I'd be Comfortably Numb." Sublime, "Don't Push", as recorded on Second Hand Smoke
84 joints were harmed making that song. Sublime always played that one live. I saw them at a Bama party before they were famous. They played super fast and punk early on.
I never bothered counting. I imagine they were pretty high though. The current iteration sublime with rome came to my work last fall and they really didn't didn't do much. It was kind of sad.
I was into the whole OC late eighties and nineties punk/hardcore ska scene. Things like the Vandals, the Ziggens, TSOL, Agent Orange.....
Nice. The Vandals were a lot of fun and they put out many classics including the greatest christmas song ever. I saw TSOL and Agent Orange. Being an hour from NYC and 4 hours from Boston or DC, I came up listening to mostly NYHC and other east coast stuff. Good times.
david bowie from the mid years--scary monsters and super creeps etc.really does not sound like the rest of his works
