I've been listening to a recording of Boak's bash which was held at my work a few years ago. Dick Boak, the artist service man at Martin Guitar for over 30 years, was retiring and asked a number of people to come celebrate his retirement. They all flew in played for almost 4 hours without getting paid. He then donated all of the proceeds to the theatre. It was a pretty special evening. Featured performers include Steve Miller, John Mayer, Jorma Kaukonen, Laurence Juber, Ernie Sites. Trevor Gordon Hall, Craig Thatcher, Nick Forrester, and Dick Boak.

Hall and Oats, Abandoned Luncheonette. Interesting, only a couple of hits on the album, but every song is very good and most are rather obscure. I've been listening to it for a week now and it never seems to get old.
I've been on a quest lately to find great albums - no greatest hits or compilations.
