Some of the greatest melodies ever written. Composer Leroy Shield was a genius. Faithfully reproduced by the great Beau Hunks. If you grew up watching the Little Rascals on TV, this album will touch you over and over again. If you are not familiar with this music here is a chance to have your ears opened to some timeless art.
If I'm not mistaken, Shield did some of the music for Laurel & Hardy as well. "Beau Hunks" is a reference to one of their films, is it not?

Enoch Light was breaking new ground in music recording back in the '60s. As the head of Command Records he took things to a new level. Close-up mics, extreme stereo separation, zany arrangements by Lew Davies, top notch session musicians, and recording onto 35mm film added up to a music listening experience previously unknown. This collection of Cole Porter songs was just one of many gems released by Command.
