I remember my Grandma singing this song to me when I was a little kid.

 

OMG, here's another song from my parents' "old country" which I like very much, but they don't! (especially not my Dad!)

 

Any translation?

 

It's Ukrainian for "The Cossacks are Whistling." My parents come from western Ukraine, and they emigrated to Israel where I was born. Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, German, and Yiddish are all childhood languages of mine, in addition of course to Hebrew. My Dad always said to his friends "My son is as tough as a Cossack!"
