My wife was freaking out when I was singing this Ukrainian Cossack song when I was walking our German Shepherd yesterday evening. I have a really deep voice like one of the singers! I love this song!

 

Without bragging, Russian friends of mine have told me I sing this song brilliantly!

Russian and even Ukrainian are also childhood languages of mine, even though I'm Israeli. My Dad and Mom emigrated to Israel from western Ukraine where these songs originated from. In our house back then, we would speak Hebrew, Russian, and very often Ukrainian. Even German.

 

My Mom and my aunt would sing this song to our daughter when she was a little girl! (Much to the chagrin of my wife!) lolll
