I started a new audiobook the other day for my work commute. Martin Luther by Eric Metaxas. Interesting, entertaining, and well-written. Not a boring or staid biography. Enjoying it!

Drood: well written historical psychological horror fiction. Long but worth the effort.

We Need to Talk:. Surprisingly insightful and succinct.[IMG][IMG]

Freaking amazing! I am a fan of this series, but to merge it with Lovecraft's world, makes it an awesome read! [IMG]

I find myself reading the KJV Bible more and more. This world seems to get crazier by the day, so I figure it doesn't hurt to brush up on a little truth here and there.

No matter what your faith, the various religious books/translations are useful for thinking.

I just finished reading American Sniper, for the second time. I first read it when it had just come out, before Chris Kyle's death. Very good book.

Finished up Ike's Bluff and picked up Lincoln's Men by William C. Davis. Pretty interesting so far.

I spend a few minutes in the quiet early mornings reading inspiration or devotional material. I've been reading Help, Thanks, Wow by Anne Lamott. I also read entries from Reflections for Ragamuffins by Brennan Manning each morning.

At the time I didn't give it much thought. My teacher was a serious anti communist and wanted to make an impression. I wanted to make my grade and meet girls. What I see now is the fact that we are or have pretty much given our privacy away. No Alexis for me. I don't want a outside agency listening in on my life.

The Happy Return, a H. Hornblower novel by C.S. Forester. I may be enjoying it just as much as the Patrick O'Brian novels...
