What are you waiting on to arrive...?

Just won this Gillette Quick Twist, AKA Slim Twist in Europe, AKA The Knack in USA) from a seller in Australia. Quick Twist was the name used in Australia for this model. Made in USA and exported to Australia for retail.

Date code W-1 so first quarter of 1976.

It's "just" a Quick Twist/Slim Twist/Knack but this case/presentation isn't seen often. It'll display great in the show-off cabinet.

 

But the date code is wrong!!!

Thanks! Yeah, it would have been awesome if it would have been my T-4! Still... And there may be someone out there who has a T-4 of something Gillette that would persuade me to trade this little rare kit.

Sent a offer of $15 yesterday and couldn't believe it this morning when I saw accepted, pay now. I say, Yes!

Cool and interesting. Simplex made razors too of which that looks like a Simplex case, so they were issued Gillette and Simplex razors in the same kit? Definitely follow-up with better pics when you receive it!

I am sure lots of things were mixed together and used in the efforts back then. Not the 1st time we've seen things mixed together by the Government. This is advertised as New Unused and appears that way as well. Doesn't matter to me either way as I wanted the soap mainly.

 

I don't recall Simplex razors from the Vietnam era but not my area of expertise.

Waits says 33-45 for Simplex, I find ads as late as '50.

Perhaps leftover Simplex cases used to package the Gillette. Guess I'll see when it arrives.

 

I think it's cool either way. Just intriguing and has me wanting to see your better pics when you receive the kit.

Should be date codes on the blades though that won't give anything definitive about the set
