The quality of ATT is outstanding. I actually started with R1 Atlas setup then added R2 and found I like this setup better so traded the R1 for the H1 which I really like. Next came the S1 Kronos setup, then H2 baseplate which I haven't tried yet as I really like the H1 and super smooth and now traded for the S2. Don't find the S1 as smooth or as close a shaver for me than my iKon DLC slant but pretty darn close. Have to let me know what you think of the Colossus as I like handles in the 3.75-4 inch range but that one looked even bigger.
I too find the quality outstanding and will probably get both sets of plates or a variation of them someday, including one slant to try. Right now the only slant I have is the RazoRock Stealth Stainless one. I will stay with the M2 for a bit to get used to it and see if I like it, then try the R2. Honestly I doubt if I will ever use the H2 but I guess you never know. As far as the Colossus goes, it is 4 inches long and I dont see myself using it at all. It was a bonus included with the kit so I might trade it off for either a R1 plate or maybe an Atlas handle, dunno yet but would like to try the R1 so I will watch and see if sometime someone posts one for sale and grab it. Usually used plates go for less than $45.
I find the Durham #300 to be an extremely attractive razor and was able to pick one up with the original razor head-cover! The Durham 300 has a, to me, gorgeous yellowish 'pearl' handle with a black mid. A bit like an Enders handle...but even more handsome. It came in a lot with an EverReady razor, case and blade holders...but the way I see it I'll probably sell that one to offset the cost of the Durham. Now to decided on going with NOS Durham blades, the medicinal blades or the dog grooming blades.... The 'lot': The Ever Ready set really does look nice: But this is what I was really after....:
I think you'll really like it. I'm not sure how to describe the scent but it's rather pleasant. The big thing for me is that it produces some absolutely amazing lather.
I have wanted to make a post about this aftershave. I have seen it in many pictures on Instagram. It sounds like a stabile AS
I got a tub last week. the scent wasn't horrible. but I didn't think it smelled like old spice. I doctored/ modified mine. Gary said he had good luck modifying his. so I used the fix he mentioned. I'd say it had a Shea soapy smell. not bad, but not old spice either.
It's been out of stock for a long time, the reviews are all great! $19.99 for a 400ml bottle is a super value, if it's close to Floid I'll be very happy.
The M1911 is a real stopper. Outstanding pistol. Had the privilege carrying, and using one. Works really well when you need it.
Waiting on a number of knots from WD. 2-24/67 Silver Tip, 2-24/67 Black Badger, 1- 24/65 Boar. Finally 20/65 Silver Tip, and 22/65 Silver Tip to finish my Grandfathers brushes.
Thankfully I have friends who have multiple 1911's that I got to shoot. That is, until they lost them in an unfortunate boating accident.
Just scored a PILS 101NE in mint condition. Now I'm going to have to sell off some items to pay for this bad boy.
