No you didn't miss anything, it's the wording Muhle likes to use. Here is the R41 And here is what is typically known as an open comb So is the Muhle R41 an open comb? I think they have it right, tooth-comb razor. Its aggressive, when I use my R41 I don't need to shave every day. Enjoy it.
For someone who is done with eBay this miraculously appeared in my waiting list on Slice. Not quite sure how it got there. Fairies? Anyway, looks like a nice, near-NOS, grey Eversharp "Krona" with eagle on the end. Even comes with the original box, instructions and blade case. Darn fairies.
I will now have to live till I'm 106 to use all this soap. Why does anyone sell shaving cream by the kilo? More importantly who in their right mind buys it?
This one I'm super interested to learn more about. Being a huge fan of their aftershaves I am naturally intrigued by their other products. If I recall correctly the founder shaved exclusively using just his Myrsol Emulsion.
ebay deal: Carl Monkhouse of Allegheny, NY. This one is circa 1930-1935. C-Mons are exceptional razors. This one is in need of some restore work and clean-up. 6/8 round point, with some toe wear. Potential cell-rot, but for the low entry cost, worth the risk….
I decided to venture into the world of DE open comb razors. So I'm waiting on a Gillette Old Type Open Comb razor from the 1920's. I just hope I made the right decision as my first open comb.
I love Myrsol. Got six bottles of it - different kinds - sitting in a shopping cart waiting for me to pull the trigger
Bought two new soaps have been wanting to try for awhile and one AS. Swiss Pitralon Scottish Fine Soaps Bowl Set Huntlee
2 knots...24mm in high mountain and silvertip...will be custom making the handles (havent designed them yet)....and some razorock XXX, 1st "artisan" soap/cream that i will have tried, im not the greatest decision maker in the world which is what always holds me back. for example, if i go into 31 flavors i will walk out with nothing, take me somewhere and i have chocolate/vanilla/strawberry and i will walk out with strawberry and a smile
Had a good experience with White Horse Hair but I dropped the brush a while ago and the handle broke so I got me another one. A Vie-Long 12705B.
Nice trio Guy. I picked up two pitralon aftershaves in a trade..pure and classic. I'm glad you broke the ice on the master lather....looking forward to your thoughts.
