Have one, not a very aggresive shave, used feathers in it and it did the job. At the correct angle the upper comb doesn't leave shaving soap behind as supposed to, surprise. It's in my rotation...
Thanks. Was taken on full time back in January in the Business/Admin department at a school for kids with learning and behavioral issues. So far, so good. Our department works year round. During the summer, though, it's just Mon-Thu, Fridays PAID OFF!
Not shaving related, but I needed a new golf hat. I'm waiting on this Stetson Madrigal Straw Hat, very reminiscent of the type Sam Snead wore. He was before my time, but I always liked his choice of hats. Besides, it sure beats the cap everyone else wears.
I bought one cause of the same reasons as yours. I like it, the handle is a little too light for me and because of the mildness you have to pay attention not to overly press, but I can do more passes or touch ups without burn if necessary. Enjoy your new razor!
Postal service indicates my complete GEM Jewel white Art Deco boxed set of razor, strop and stropper will arrive today. Gotta love real time tracking. It is Tuesday morning here so I may be having a late shave today Steve
Knot came in, goñna pick up dbl duck tomorrow or Wed and send off for custom restore and custom matching brush. Is it Christmas?
My holy grail razor: Gillette Sheraton! It was a hiddenish gem in a lot that was focused on a GEM OC Micromatic (cased with instructions and blades). It's a little ugly, but I will probably get it replated eventually. The whole lot was a BIN for less than the normal price of a Sheraton!!
As we enter July, and NBJ, now in 30 mins here on the west coast these are the three items I bought - and one service request - in June but that will be delivered/finished sometime in July; 1) Gillette Monobloc, 2) Puma straight razor w/ case, and 3) Spanish, vintage Gurelan DE razor. Plus: 4) Service on my Fremont SE razor from Delta, initiated in June. C'est tout.
