Kindal Safety Razor Set.... Another Shot..... And Another..... And Lastly..... I just got this last night from a French EBay seller.....The C.V. Heljestrand company of Eskilstuna, Sweden made single-edge wedge blade razor sets for Kindal and this is one of them.....I have seen these many a time on Flea-Bay, but they have always been way out my price range as they tend to go for Crazy Money..... I got this for £55.00 posted.....I think that's a fair dent in the wallet for such a lovely piece as this.....As usual there were 3 or 4 buyer/seller types mooching around, but that's fine as they don't push things up too far as they want to make a profit.....Me, I just want a Piece of History to have some fun with and to provide them with a loving home..... Won a Watch........ Billy
Ordered on the 9th. It took 2 days to move from Arlington to Coppell, TX (21 miles). It left Coppell, TX, today, expected date of delivery. I don't think it will make the 1000 mile trip and be delivered on time.
A pair of Wiss inlaid 1DS's. One vintage and one modern. I ordered two for the workplace at my last job, as the guys in the shop were cutting aluminum honeycomb and were going through scissors like crazy. (Edit: not the Wiss shears though. They just resharpened those once a year and kept on working) I always meant to order some for myself one day. That day has come. I had Wiss shears around my whole life, tools used by my Grandfather, so when I went looking for better scissors than the generic Fiskars, I thought of Wiss. Always meant to pick up a pair or two for myself, and ended up scoring these on the bay for about $14 each, after factoring in shipping. New ones sell for about $25 each, so not a bad deal. The vintage ones were made in the U.S.A., and the modern ones are made in Italy. Both are good. Edit: Also waiting on this, or rather, three tubes of this. Hope I like it. I've always had a fondness for toothpastes that come in metal tubes, and stuff that looks vintage. This toothpaste has been in production since 1898!
Just picked up a stick of Irisch Moos and another IBLE Boar brush which I plan to pull the knot out of.
Scored these Wiss electricians shears for $1.68 on the bay. My dad uses his to trim his beard, and I think I'll do the same if I let my goatee grow out. Also scored a black beauty on the bay. Been wanting to try one out for a while. I paid a bit more than I planned to. I was going to combine shipping with another razor, but was outbid on that one.
Okay, okay I know I don't need it, and may not use it more that once or twice, but I figured since I love Russian blades so much I should have a Russian razor. One visit to Etsy later and this is on the way. I've read a lot of posts from you guys that have one and thought; well why not?
I'm using the same logic to try to get one of these. Unfortunately, I haven't found an Ural for $49 yet.
I am still waiting on my two Whipped Dog knots. What's up with the USPS? Was supposed to be here last Monday.
Just scored two pucks of the SdM 40% Assess Milk shave soap. Now I can compare the 40 to 30 percent version. Also went ahead and ordered from Stirling: 26mm synthetic - probably pull the knot as I have two 25mm handles awaiting knots Executive Man Shave Soap and the 4oz Aftershave Balm 4oz Glacial Lemon Chill AS Balm Also yesterday I traded my Feather AC for a new unused Antica Barbieria Colla shave cream
