Picked this up for $20.50. I'm shocked, shocked I tell you, that this didn't go higher. Thank goodness for NBJ! Stay strong guys. I pif'd my last Slim, but I've always kind of missed it. It will be good to have one in the stable again.
For the first time in a long while I have nothing inbound. Maybe NBJ '15 had at least some positive influence on me.
Schick Type F Injector.... I was sitting tonight and something told me to check on the Injector New List on USA Flea-Bay.....I had checked about half an hour before this and a Schick Type F Injector is always at the front of my mind.....These don't come up very often and when they have done recently the sellers have all stated that they are only posting to the USA & No Bones About It.....This Beauty sprang up at me as a "Buy it Now Job"......I quickly checked it out and pressed the button....I got it for £46.00 & £3.00 postage from a USA Seller......I am over the Moon......The Alloy & Brass Schick Type F Injector was only made for a few months in 1940/1941 .The Schick Type F is said to be a wonderful shaver and as aggressive as a Type E, but very, very smooth....Some people say that that this was the smoothest Schick Injector ever made... The Schick Type F Injector is regarded by many as one of the most coveted and pricey jewels of the injector world..... Billy
Great score - you see maybe 5-6 of them a year. I really like mine but have yet to actually use it... I'm gonna have a theme-week and pair it with this one:
That's a beautiful example of an F Type you have there......I have never seen or heard of a Wilkinson's Injector....Need to give me the Low down on that Dark Horse...Looks seriously different .....
Thanks The Wilkinson is a T70. I just love the sporty look of it. Here are some snaps: The back of the box has a built-in space for the blade pack: But I know you like some metal in your razor, so maybe this model would be better (not mine):
Yeah, Nice one...I have just looked them up....They must be quite rare as there is not a lot of them around......
The Slim's were made for 7 years, compared to the Fatboy's 4 year run, so there are about twice as many around than the Fatboy, probably more. There just doesn't seem to be very many on eBay right now. Edit: If you were talking about that Injector, yeah they are rare.
You guessed the right base that they used for this unique Bay Rum. Cant wait to actually try it but the brief moments I had to smell the aroma as I cleaned up the mess on Christmas Eve it smelt very good.
I just got this MST Muller 8k in and already decided not to use it! Go figure! Anyway, how does it look?
Well Doug Korn notified me that my custom brush is ready to ship. Cant wait to put this one in rotation. D7-XLT Custom with Romera Manchurian knot set at 26x56mm loft, handle is 85mm tall. Also purchased Boellis Panama 1924 Soap w/ Coffret and now to see how it compare to ABC Both ship out tomorrow.
Picked up a NIB Provence Sante soap in a ceramic shaving dish (I believe the dish is now a discontinued option). I've heard good things about the soap so I'm curious to try it out as I really like their aftershave.
Arko stick x 2 con conk x 4 paraso green cream clubman bay rum Wilconson swords x 3 packs gold dollar cut throat (just for the collection) Edit: The mail man just brought by my two arko sticks. They smell decent. SWMBO said it smells like dove soap. I have to agree. I don't think it smells like lemon pledge or those citranilla candles. Cant wait to shave with it tonight.
Picked that up off the shave nook, huh? At that price it was a steal. Edit: all those ceramic shave dishes you guys are posting were making me drool. So now, after some interesting twists and turns on the interwebs, I'm waiting for this to show up in my mailbox. A 4" thuja "treasure box." Joris and Plisson use these boxes to sell expensive soap.
