For the first time in a very long time I don't have anything coming to me. I do have a box going to Sweden from Stirling Soap.
I have a package due to be picked up(I have no idea what it is). Plus I have a great variety of 10 Stirling soap samples on the way from Razorburn123 =) Thank you again Kerry
Oh, now I've gone and done it. Yesterday was my birthday, celebrating that I have become The Answer (Douglas Adams fans will understand). I'm already waiting for a mis-listed ebay Super Speed to arrive, and an order of HTGAM soaps (although 2 of the 3 are for She Who Must Be Obeyed). But my family, who doesn't understand my hobbies and odd gift requests ("A shaving brush - Seriously?") at least provides gift cards to fund my eccentricities. So the following aligned last night: I'm seriously afflicted with RAD right now. My two favorite colors are camouflage and stainless (the latter being important here). I prefer to buy from local companies when possible (I live in east TN). Having a bit of eduction in materials/metallurgy and a background in manufacturing, I'm a fan of the tolerances and consistency that you can get with milling when it's done properly. A 30 day money back guarantee is almost can't miss. For my birthday, my family had sent me just shy of $200 in assorted checks and gift cards. My wife commented during dinner that she started reading Atlas Shrugged again. The last one pushed me over the edge. An Above the Tie Atlas M1 is incoming. I waffled quite a bit between the ATT and a Weber (plus probably a brush). The Weber would be closer to what I'm using now (Merkur 34C) so probably not much of a learning curve. I've read tons of reviews of both, and both razors seem to have their outspoken fans and critics. I'm a bit put of by the reports of Webers with "blade wave", and that's not completely out of line with my previous experiences with sintered parts - although the technology has moved forward rapidly. At the end of the day, what put me over the edge was that I'll have a much easier time justifying the Weber's price as a casual purchase in the future, and the birthday was an opportunity to treat myself. Now the wait begins.

I have the same set with a badger brush, and I really like the stand. I keep the brush and my Merkur HD on it, and the scent of the soap is nice. My wife likes it also. (Bonus)
3 TSD sample soaps 100 Super-Max Super Platnium from Amazon Jack Black AS Amazon Spider Man 3D Amazon 6 8oz soap containers from Speciality Bottle
I bought my first Whipped Dog brush, 24/65mm synthetic. My first synthetic, Larry has really good prices, I think I'll order a Silvertip once I recieve this one.
Atlas Shrugged part 2 is on Netflix! My Merkur 34c could only get replaced with a Feather all stainless.
This Gem silver/black Pushbutton is on its way from a fellow Den member. I'd heard it shaves very comparably to the G-Bar so I'm looking forward to giving it a couple days growth to mow off this weekend. The gold version is fairly common around my parts but have never seen the silver one, which I prefer.
