Framebacks were cheaper and easier (faster) to manufacture as a tapered blade is inserted into the frame (spine) vs having to hollow-grind the blade. Some models allowed for replacing the blades after time.
My wife is going out of town on a hiking trip to Yosemite with some girlfriends. She texted me this picture so I called her. They had stopped at an antiques shop on the way and she bought me this. She got the tray and the brush for $5.00 and says the brush is labeled Rubberset. She then said, "Did I do good"? Yes, she did. So did I when I married her
Waiting for my J.A. Henkels Friodur straight to be professionally sharpened tomorrow. As far as I know this razor was never used and or made shave ready.

A D R Harris Lavendar bath soap. These sell for $17-19 on Amazon and about $13+shipping on Connaught. Was able to get one from Connaught's auction recently for $8 shipped which seemed to be a good price.
Once in awhile I buy a product that is not well known. This puck I picked up on Etsy for $6.46 Oatmeal, Goatmilk & Honey: A good fragrance blend of oatmeal, milk, honey and almond. Made with goat milk, olive oil, palm oil, coconut oil, sodium hydroxide, avocado oil, bentonite clay and sodium lactate. The avocado oil makes a denser suds with more moisturizing. The bentonite clay brings impurities to the top of the skin and gives the razor a smooth glide for a nicer shave. It also makes a good facial soap. These bars are 3 inches in diameter. Featured goat is The Peppy LePeuw. He was a wonderful herd sire and got up to 450 lbs in his prime. He had absolutely gorgeous kids with great personalities. You are buying one bar of soap weighing between 3.5 and 4.5 ounces. Great customer service! My order shipped within 2 hours of placing it.
