That's in amazing condition - normally they do not look that nice. Will this be reserved for the top razors?
Hello folks, I just scored another 1940/41 Gillette Milord Tech a few minutes ago. It was one of those listings that the seller didn't know what model razor he had, and so it was listed as a "vintage Gillette razor". I already have one of these, but it's a freshly replated razor, and I don't want to muck it up, so I got this one. These are fantastic shavers. They shave very similar to the 1941 Ranger Tech. I'm excited about this score.
Here's a link to the sellers photos/listing- http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/231754649742 It was a lucky score.
Thank you Darkbulb! I love these old razors. The one I have now I paid $180 for after it was freshly replated and restored. Like you said, I did very well on this new one. These are pretty rare razors. Thanks for your interest!
I snagged four vintage brushes on ebay to fuel my first foray into brush restoration. I was only in the market for one, but at $5/brush (incl shipping) it felt like a worthwhile investment and should give me a little margin for error when I inevitably screw one up. From left to right: Century 4, ER 500PBT, ER C40, ER100. I'm particularly intrigued by the Century. It's marked with "Set in Rubber" and "Sterilized" - a combo I haven't been able to find elsewhere with the white handle.
Got bit by RAD quite badly this month. One of my purchases was a Gillette Ball End Tech made in England w/case. This will be my last purchase for a while, I swear................
I've got one just like that. It is all aluminum , except the cap. You won't believe how well it shaves. Congratulations!
