It is, shaving items have a funny way of looking pretty awesome ounce restored I have a feeling this will be one of them. I look forward to seeing the finished product.
Interesting and good looking razor. Some pretty detailed history about it here. Looks like it dates the razor to 1900-1920. Or, taking the fire into consideration...maybe it dates it to 1900-1912
I knew I had read that, but couldn't find it. Thanks @Darkbulb. I really like American razors, and this is one of the earliest companies.
Awaiting the arrival of another vintage C-MON—a 'Blackie' in need of some TLC. In pretty good shape to start, but a lil' spit & polish—and some touch-up red paint— will do wonders. Great shavers….
I accidentally won another auction. F. Westpfal New York, ACME. Looks to be a Sheffield blade based on the tang shape. Hope it is as big as it looks.
With shipping, less than $15 bucks. Doesn't have any of the well known names on it, but it looks like a good one. I really hope it is as big as it looks.
