Well, I did pick up another vintage brush this weekend for sub-10 dollars... Maybe not so interesting visually...but it's a make (it's a Sta-Fast) and shape that I didn't already have... ..it is joining this rowdy gang that all needs some good cleaning and grooming:
And the best thing is that they can often be had for 5-6 dollars. The most inexpensive one was 99 cents
Here is my latest score. Cost a grand total $19 shipped What I really wanted was the Schick G3. But who am I not to take 2 other cool razors. I used an ER 1912 all of November. So I am really happy to get a Star to add to the SE collection. You can't go wrong with a Gillette SS Black tip to boot.
Well, it looks like my Milord is not getting here today as USPS originally predicted. Apparently, it is traveling from Maine to New Jersey by way of Kansas City, MO. Go figure... JR
Sadly Peter, the maker, closed up shop earlier this year so any brushes you buy now will be from other owners. I have four now..and three on their way... For roughly $30 a brush (one I got for $19 shipped directly from Peter...) these are/were hard bargains to beat....
