I've seen these copper bowls from Turkey on eBay as well and have considered purchasing one of them. I'd love to see a review from you after you've had a chance to use it.

 

Dang you enablers !!! I also have been thinking about the copper shave bowl from Turkey but soon forgot about it, well until now.
Debating, do I need/want a bowl with a lid on it or not. Lid to keep soap pucks from drying.

 

I had one that came with a rub mark on it told them and they are sending me another. It makes a great lather because of the hammering in the sides.

Nothing as I'm 1-month in to my "No Buy 2016" and doing well. Emptied my eBay watch list and focusing on using all the items I acquired last year.

 

I was thinking the hammering in the sides would make working a lather easier. Thanks for confirming that. Do you like the overall size of the bowl, or do you find it too small or too big?

 

It's a nice size about 5" wide.

I found a pretty cool bullet tip almost mint and $19 bucks ! This is the best SE for me I have another that I love to shave with but this looks like it might be unused. Hopefully it will be here soon!

Thank you. Have only used it once I received it and have to say looks even better in hand though I had hoped it would be a tad deeper in color but not by much more than it is.

I have been looking for Calani soap for a while now. Amazon used to have it, but I did a search and couldn't find anything. There was one web site that carried it, but it is in Europe so Im not sure how much shipping to the US would be. It has gotten great reviews and doesn't get much mention around here.

 

I'm thinking electric razors next....
