I just placed my first TSD Store order. I am waiting on some samples of Aftershave Milk, some soap samples, some M-Bomb (I need to try this whole menthol thing) and 2 packs of Voskhod blades.
Yeah..Not as Common but Yeah..They were more Common in the Schick Plant in Holland & that looks like what You have there..Those blades are Dutch.. Billy..
My personal opinion from what I've seen Flair tips range from $10-$15 Super speeds from $10-$20 Slims $20-$35 Fatboy's $25-$60 Blue tips $15-$25 Red tips $20-$30 Black tips $10-$20 Aristricrats $35-$50 Old types $15-$30 depending on the handle There are way more obviously but those are what I've generally seen. Boxed sets command more than what I've listed. What I've seen loose with out cases are these prices. I would say add $10 to the flair tips and super speeds if they come cased. Me personally I don't see anything wrong with telling people what things are worth. With exception of someone repeatedly asking without trying to figure it out themselves after awhile. In the beginning when I was trying to start purchasing some vintage, I kept getting " it's worth what ever someone is willing to pay". I would frustrate me, because I really wanted to get help. I appreciated the advice some were willing to give and in the end I was able to use that and make some smart purchases. As time went on i gained the knowledge of what things will go for. I've seen a couple of people come on and ask just so they can go back and sell on eBay, those people are obvious. I think if someone is truly wanting to get into this hobby, they should be able to come in here and ask those questions.
What about British vs American flare tips or British red tips etc. and other country variances. I've recently seen VG condition FB go for a lot more on the bayz.
Like I said there are a lot more, I'm no expert and I don't pretend to know everything. It was just my opinion on the basics.
I've made a trade with Martin in Berlin. I am waiting on my first Goodwill razor. It was imported from England for France.
$12.45 shipped. I know it looks rather disgusting, but I think everything will clean up very nicely. I didn't notice any plate loss under that grime. The seller's photographs were quite good, but obviously he/she wasn't interested in cleaning the razor. Their loss, my gain. I can't remember the last time I saw a cased Gillette Super Speed sell for under $15.
I offered $50 with shipping with the ones I just bought and this set Hopefully he bites ! 1917 US service set with mirror. Outside has some plate loss but that's ok.
