These are in the mail now. My army of American straights is getting bigger. First picture are razors I already had that needed sime work. Left to right, Robeson Sure edge, micro fastener replaced with a pin. Crandall cutlery was moved into my obnoxious orange acrylic scales and given a new black pearl wedge. Last on in the picture is a Torrey. It had microfasteners, and the hole at the pivot was too big to pin. Ron Henry, who is doing the work had an original set of scales he had take off another razor. The next four are inbound from Canada, as a trade. First one is a Cattaraugus Green Lizard 131B. Next is a Kinfolks The Ace Square tip Then a Shumate And a Case Red Imp 132 Wedge. (If anyone has original scales for this, please message me.)
My drygulch strop is now in the post on its way to me, it met up with a Tony Miller strop in Cali and the pair are expected to arrive end on next week. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
Finally at last 5 puck is on the way to Australia and I'm looking forward to this very soon because I've never tried this shaving soap.
@cmorris357 thanks goodness I'm not married otherwise the wives will kill their husbands for having too many straight razors
Bought a Fatboy on Ebay yesterday. Should be here in a few days. Then I will be able to see what all the hype is about. Never have used one.
Glad you took the plunge & hope it's as good for you as the rest of us. They really were well built. It's a wonder no one has started a #195 Owners Club...
I've seen that look, but then she confuses me when she tells my kids she doesn't mind my disorder Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I'm convinced that in middle school, when they take the boys off to discuss the changes their bodies are going through, the girls are taught the "look", and told to use it whenever possible. The same day they are taught to stand with one hand on their hip with one knee bent when someone takes their picture.
To be fair, you might consider posting an approving look. She has one that's not shaving gear related?
