I will eventually give it a shot. It depends on how strongly scented these soaps are. Kevin told me they are not subtly scented.
Soap Commander Old Spice Shaving Soap and some assorted A/S and Cologne samplers from Gary at Shoebox.
A good day by the boys in Crimson. I will say though, Mississippi State put college football on notice this year. Dan Mullen has recruited blue chip talent, and has a Cadillac of a defensive line. They could make hay next year, look out SEC West, they aren't going away. I am also waiting on a couple of injectors and a slim. They are in the USPS system, likely will see them Monday or so. First foray into older gear, and I am looking forward to it!
A couple more shavers coming my way… This vintage Frederick Reynolds Sheffield razor (circa 1860-1880) didn't garner much attention on ebay, despite the fact the blade looks to be in terrific shape: I attribute the lack of interest in this razor to the ad's descriptive copy where the seller states the "Blade has a large chip missing on the end…" This 'large chip' is mistakenly referring to the razor's hollow notch on the toe end… A newer (post-1891) Joseph Rodgers & Sons 'Barber's Friend' — with both celluloid 3-pin scales and etched blade in very nice shape. Some rust removal need on the blade face—which will require some extra care, but the edge looks good.
