Found at Goodwill. Made in England. I guess this is a "Twist"? Will have to look at the dater code (if it has).
In the mail today, an aluminum handle brush, 3.5 inches tall and possibly a knot size of about 26mm - 28mm. I'll know more after I remove it. It'll need some repair to a few pin holes, possibly with epoxy putty, if I keep it with it's natural finish. Or just regular epoxy if I paint it, don't know yet........... Edit, wrong place, should be in the haul, oooops...........
@SpeedyPC I like the handle, but I'd want it with a boar or best badger knot. I'm waiting for this beauty
@Eeyore there a 24/55mm (+/- 1mm) knot 2 Band Badger Yaqi Mysterious Space available now, is very similar to your SOC 2 Band Badger will cost you a lot less.
@SpeedyPC thanks, that's on my list! For this brush, I definitely wanted to have a "Made in Europe" one, at least as much as possible. It is going to join the shelf with my Omega 20102 boar, and Edwin Jagger Silvertip Fibre synthetic. What was still missing there was a good "Made in Europe" badger. So far, my experience with cheap Chinese badger knots has not been positive. Not dense enough and too floppy. But I believe the Maseto knots have a very good reputation. -- Pitralon forever - Real pens have a nib - If it doesn't tick, it's not a watch.
I believe yours is a slim twist. Mine is a 1994 04 made in England. Shaves very nice. Sent from my QTAQZ3 using Tapatalk
I will look at it closely tonight and let you know, but I am thinking pretty well. Like I said I will look this evening and post pics for you. I'm pretty sure I have pics when it was new.
I only know the 6C from other's reports. The next two fall in the "aggressive camp". You have some interesting shaves ahead of you! I like my Fatip Piccolo, wish I'd have gotten the longer Grande handle. I found a good price on a Ming Shi (Futur clone) and I'm a couple shaves in. It's an interesting tool. The one I've been using off-and-on for quite a while is the Merkur HD so I'm looking forward to testing a different style.
