I believe the cap is underneath the baseplate.

 

I’m thinking the razor is NOS. It looks so and it has the cardboard. Did it come with packaging or just as is?

The handle looks like one from a Gillette French Service Set or New Jewelry Set, both made in England. There are a couple German sets with that same handle design, also made in England. Pics for comparison.........

Nice! If you want to add some weight shave with the key in it. I like the weight and added length

It's one of my favorite razors . The only DeHaven which will take a modern blade without an adapter, and a great shaver.

As fortune would have it a guy in a BST post of other goodies was giving away a Stahly head which is exactly what I wanted to try since nobody uses the stock handle.A good mild shaver as I understand.

Thanks @Jim99 most Red Tip are very hard to find in very good condition, as soon as I saw it, I grab it straight away and hit my piggy bank a little harder.
