Going to try to learn to hone this summer. This will be my bevel setter:



Already have a synthetic 3k/8k for mid level and a small coti, c12k, lapping film, and a hard black Arkansas for finishing options.

 

Listed as a Vintage Gillette The Tech Razor Set in box with paper and extra blades. USA
It appears to be a black tip superspeed. I was more interested in the blades. I figured I could clean up the razor and pif it or sell it.

 

Nice catch Jim. Clean it up and bundle it up with a brush and inexpensive soap and sell it as a newbie set.

 

I know someone who could use the Tech box

Will do! I don't know if there was any variation of instructions for the different years of production. I haven't finished my research to pin down which one of the M's it is.
I do appreciate the many instructions sheets you have made available.

I have the same cased set you're getting, M1, with the instructions that was in the case. I have the two sides copied on the same side of paper in PDF form. I will have to separate them into two individual images so they can be correctly made into one sheet.

 

I will add it to my Dropbox items.

 

I just got my Georgetown Pottery scuttle in. However it appears they sent me a G12 second instead of a G20 second as it only held 12 ounces of water, but honestly it seems big enough and since I only do one pass shaves with a cartridge razor I'm guessing it will keep the lather warm enough. I may just keep it and tell them not to worry about the extra 5 bucks and keep it as a tip. I just really wanted the big one when I ordered. I will say it is a very nice scuttle and if the seconds have little imperfections I sure cant see them.

 

I liked those sheets so much I downloaded all of them! When someone asks, I post up a copy for their particular Gillette. Still have hard drive space for Schick sheets, too.

I had a tin of Dr.Jons some time ago and never really gave it a chance, now that I have I'm a fan.
