I was going to bid on that!! Ugh !! I got a call from my boss and couldn’t bid on it. I’m sooo sad!! But glad you got it! Congrats
Sigh. Gotta love vintage Gillettes, especially the British ones... so many strange combinations. The continuous bar caps were in use during the New era, at least in the US so, I suppose, it could be a case of a specific run being made to use up baseplates or during the transition to the post-War style. It will be interesting to see it in person.
You might know this already, but make sure you clean the surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and use a glue made for acrylics.
I realized I didn't have a spring or fall jacket (other that a holey zip up sweat shirt (good for church)), so pick this up second hand. BTW I like yellow!
I’ve read many reviews praising the Yaqi Sagrada synthetic brush. I ordered one today. I prefer badgers, but I’m open to trying a new synthetic.
Hi folks, I haven’t made any purchases for a long time, so I started checking out eBay. Last week I spotted an old Canadian ABC Pocket Edition, and managed to win the auction. I’m glad I did, because it reawakened my interest in collecting razors again. So this morning I went back to a BIN auction on the Bay, that I spotted a week or so ago. It is an old Milady set from the 1930’s. Celluloid case. When I spotted it before I wasn’t sure, but I suspected it was a New Deluxe model comb guard. So I called the item up this morning, and after carefully examining the few photos available, I determined it is in fact a New Deluxe, and I purchased it. The price was very low, and I couldn’t pass it up at that price. It has not shipped yet. Please take a look at the photos, and post your thoughts on whether or not this razor is a New Deluxe. Have a great day everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I decided to get a new point and shoot. While this model is a number of years old, it still gets great reviews, I have learned that if you look at older models you can get a better deal. Nothing wrong with them. They don't have the whistles and bells of newer models (eye focus tracking, touch screens, articulating screens, etc). The lens in this camera is top notch. I am looking forward to using it.
I've had a few Sonys, but none as nice as the one you picked up. They are very reliable and preform well.
Three items from Maggard: Fatip "Special Edition" Piccolo DE (Black\Gold with OC and Bar base plates) 24MM Tmiberwolf synthetic
Great brush! It's best to comb them out every couple of uses as they will tangle and form knots. Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
A few things off the bay ...... A 28mm flat top synthetic to re-knot a late 60's Kent. A NOS 13/16 - 1 3/8 short drive step drill bit ......... for a future project. A 24mm fan shaped 2 banded badger knot ....... for a friends brush. And I'm also trying to get over cold ...........
