I'm waiting on a couple of soaps from Lisa's but they are taking there time getting to me...held up in customs for several days for some reason...
I've been trying to find an NI head for my silver Tuckaway set. Apparently, it's easier to just buy another Tuckaway. It was $20 and change shipped. Obviously, it's going to need some TLC when it arrives.
From what I've read, the brass used on certain Gillette heads contained more than the usual amount of copper and gives it that look. But when it's polished up, it looks nice.
10 Gibbs no. 15 razors. If anyone is interested pm me. I'll sell up to 8 of them for $10 a piece + shipping as a TSD member special, price will be higher elsewhere later on since I certainly won't need or keep this many of them.
They are easy enough to modify. You snip the tabs to shorten them (you can use a Gibbs blade as a template) if you don't want to add slots or grind down the cap.
I might be wrong, the article I saw I think it was for modifying blades for Gibbs razors. Won't a good paper punch be able to take off what has to be done to the blade?
https://theshaveden.com/forums/thre...ade-in-gibbs-razor-was-your-holy-grail.57098/ Hand nibbler works well also. Second option is to trim the tabs the blade to fit between the posts. Other option is to align the blade on the cap and head and press down hard and let the cap punch out the holes.
